MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international breakthroughs into the Latin pop mainstream. Una Lady Como Tu (his popular hit song from 2016) was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award, 2017. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, which included the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo came from a family of musicians his mother and older brother are musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory element of his existence. In his early years, he learned how to play the saxophone, as well as piano and ukulele. His initial choice of career was to be a vet however, his brother Julian convinced him to study to sing with a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he realized his talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
