Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. Her childhood was spent listening to classical, old boleros as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. As a student and as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. In 2000, she relocated into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her current home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives in both teaching and performer because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to sing the same.
